BECE candidates are anxiously waiting for updates about their examination papers as to when the results will be released and possibly, when they will report to their SHS.

Marking of BECE papers begins on 7th October 2023.

This article answers some of your questions which include when the scripts will be marked and the release date of your results.

When will BECE papers/scripts be marked?

The marking of BECE scripts is set to commence on the 7th of October 2023 and will continue until the 23rd of October 2023 at which all scripts are expected to be marked and moved forward for compilation

The process of marking the BECE papers takes time, however, there are a series of events before the marking begins. Before the marking commences, there will be a zonal or team leader coordination.

zonal or team leaders coordination will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of october 2023 after which there will be assistant examiners meeting on 4th to 6th october 2023.

When will the results be released?

The BECE exams took place from August 7-11, 2023. Typically it takes around 2-3 months after the exams for the results to be processed and released.

So if we estimate 2-3 months from the end of the exams on August 11th, the 2023 BECE results could be expected sometime in November or December 2023.
